Blushing Gorgeous

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone's enjoying the long weekend so far.

Today’s post is all about blushes and how amazing
they look on women on colour (WOC).

I know so many girlfriends that are scared of using blush because they just don’t see the need for it or become completely throne off by some of the bold blush colours.
This is because as darker skin tone ladies we don’t feel like that flush of colur is a natural characteristic for us. BUT it’s okay girlies!
You should wear blush because it brings back colour and depth back to your face.
As you know I’m not an expert just speaking from experience and by big sisters ;)

Sleek MakeUP blush by 3 Pink Spirt from: Lipstick Republic
Love Alpha in the shade 18 from: Crush Cosmetics
Jordana blush powder in the shade Blushing Rose from: Jordana Cosmetics

You should wear blush because:

1. It does amazing things for brightening your complexion and
completing your makeup look.
2. With the right shade of blush you’ll highlight your cheekbones.
3. The right blush can add a pop of color to your cheeks, instantly making you
look younger and healthier glow to your skin.

Bon Fire
I didn't have time to use all 3 blushes from the Flame pallet
but I will be trying them this week :)
And you can choose from cream and powder blushes depending on your skin type.
Personally I like powder blushes.

Tip: The darker your skin tone the darker

you’re blush should be.

You must check out Ane Andoras' blog out here on the sleek blushes as well.

She is stunning!

Autumn Lookbook 2015

Hey guys!
So it's officially time to put away your summer dresses, shorts and t-shirts.
Cause autumn is here!

So together with my beautiful and talented friend Angels Pix we had a photo-shoot
and here are the results........
Just before we get started: The funny thing, is all the clothes in this post, I purchased last year or earlier. As a student we don't really have the luxury of buying whatever is current. But styling it to suit your body and your sense of self will radiate confidence.

Look number 1: The essential
jumpsuit :)
I love jumpsuits! They are just so comfortable and look amazing for any occasion.
This particular jumpsuit I got from Brisbane while I was over there with my Mum and sister in 2014. So it isn't exactly new but fashion is all about embracing your inner 'Sasha Fierce' ;)

Coco Chanel once said:

“Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.”

Look number 2: You've got to
have a sweatshirt.
The weather here in Auckland is pretty much always so unpredictable, so you've got to stay warm.

I got this tigress sweatshirt from JayJays and the pleather leggings from Glassons I got both these pieces last year.
The thing about being so short is that
jeans are really hard to find because I always end up hemming them up. So this pant fits me perfectly.

Look number 3: That crop top.
Crop tops are great for short people like myself because it accentuates our legs.

This particular crop top is from Valleygirls and I've pretty much worn it everywhere in the last 2  years LOL.
I paired it with black harem pants that I got from Supre and a big as chunky necklace :)

See you guys next week :)

Red My Lips 2015

The Red My Lips campaign is carried out throughout the month of April internationally and appeals to raise awareness about sexual violence and to speak out against victim bullying.
So this means that we rally up together with saviours and support them.
Its about spreading the word that RAPISTS are responsible for RAPE...not drinking, short skirts, or makeup.
Sexual violence is NOT a WOMEN'S ISSUE. It is a HUMAN ISSUE. It affects us ALL.

Some of the ways that we can raise awareness is by wearing clothes or accessories that have red lips or lip prints on them, or by painting one nail red or better yet wearing red lipstick.
Amazing right! I know! Red Lippy for the whole month! Woop woop!

Wearing red lipstick is about visibility not vanity.

Join the event on Facebook!

However, sometimes woman of colour can feel like red lipstick is a bit to much or just doesn’t go well with their skin tone. But let me tell you, it looks amazing on us!

Today I wanted to show you 5 different red lipsticks that I love and these lippy’s complement chocolate skin so well.

The first one is by Jordana in the shade 'Cherry'. This lippy has an amazing creamy formula that is rich in colour and provides full coverage.
It's also very inexpensive.

Jordana - 'Cherry'

This lippy I received from Maybelline and in all honesty I probably wouldn't have purchased it in my own accord. But I do like it!
It has a very tangerine-y colour pay off to it.
Consider this a very bold lippy.

Maybelline Bold Matte - 'MAT4'

A trend that has become very popular is using lipliner to
cover your whole lips.
Which is a great way to start off wearing bold colours.
Using lipliner will also prolong  your lip colour.

Astor lipliner - 'Framboise'

Now we have the Rimmel London lippy that was featured in my first post as Chanwyn's favourite red lippy. The best way to describe this colour would be; fire engine red.
It's a great lipstick and smells really nice to.

Rimmel London designed by Kate Moss - 10

Last but not least we have a matte lip colour by an American brand
that isn't available in NZ.
I was able to get my hands on this lippy through Lip Monthly's 2014 December bag.
This lippy truly just radiates and works so well with my skin tone.

Awesome Autumn

 Autumn makeup looks amazing!
So this week I decided to recreate a look that I absolutely love.

To me autumn makeup is all about dark lips and nicely done eyes. Eye shadow isn’t exactly my favourite thing in the world but I will be using it today.

Salone eyeliner from Studio Glam
Powder brush from Makeup Collective
Ben Nye Colorless Powder from Makeup Collective
Blending sponge from Kmart
Fit Me foundation from SnatchADeal
W7 In the nude
Jordana lipstick in 'blackberry'
Ulta 3 nail polishes in 'black plum' and 'precious'

1. So firstly apply foundation to your whole face and set the foundation with a powder.

Crazy face with corrector and Fit Me foundation

I used the blending sponge to set the foundation

2. Now focusing in on your eye area get your eyebrows, mascara,
liquid eyeliner and pencil eyeliner done

3. Apply your blush and highlighter to your cheekbones.

4. Time for the lippy!

Jordana in the shade 'blackberry'

And lastly look in the mirror smile and get your freak on!

Makeup isn’t about hiding imperfections its about enhancing your beauty, we all have insecurities BUT know that we are all beautiful no matter what colour, size or gender.

Don't forget to check out this amazing
